I have always had this romantic idea about living on a farm. I’ve also had the same idea about living in New York City. And that, in a nutshell, is why I struggle to make a choice about anything. Though if the farm looked like this one, the choice might be easier. But then again a lovely picture of a brownstone in the city could have a similar effect…..(sigh)…

Sometimes while I’m at work a project happens at home. If I’m really lucky, it’s finished and cleaned up before I arrive. Feels a bit like magic….like DIY fairies exist.

I had my eyes glued to the television as the sun set here tonight, watching the devastation in Oklahoma. The destruction is hard to fathom even looking at the images on the screen. How do people recover from tragedies like this? How many of them had any idea when they woke up this morning, that by the time the sun set, their lives would be forever changed? Things like this help remind me that our lives are not really in our control and to be forever grateful.

E has been wanting to get a skyline shot of Asheville for several months. This is his first attempt. He says it’s not as clear as he would like but he likes the composition. This project continues to a fabulous learning experience for him.
